So i tried finding this out but i cant get a satisfactory answer.

How do I look up my TRX300FW's year based on the serial number? I plan on buying a winch and plow for it eventually so i need to make sure my year is correct. I thought it would have a sticker, but i cant find one, nor any info stamp on the frame other than its color, model and serial.

Superwinch 3000 on amazon. $138. They have amazing customer support or if you choose go to harbor freight and grab one of their badland winches but get the extended warranty.

Now that's funny , me giving snow plow advice , I seen 10 inches of snow in my entire 60 years on planet Earth , 5 of them were last year and 5 in the 59 years before that combined ------------SuperWinch is good stuff , I had them on my shrimp boat for years and now I have one on my 300 and one on my 450 and they were well used and are still going

Most likely, but at 1/2 (or even cheaper) of the price I m usually ok with "made in china"

It took me a while to get on the China parts are junk band wagon , maybe you need to feel the pain on your own and then you will see 90%+ of Chinese ATV parts are junk , that is why they are so cheap , cause they are cheaply made

Wellllll, I've had zero issues with the half dozen Superwinches I've installed on my 06 and most of my buddies bikes, so those $130ish Superwinches are definitely good ones.

That said, here lately with several 300 projects looming I've been buying used Warns for $50-100 when they pop up. I put one on the kid's 350 Rancher I've been working on and have three in the shop now to go on 300's as I finish them.

and I've had zero issues from all the warn winches I've owned, and still own today, sooooooooo..this means what ?..lmfao. as fish stated ^^^, china brands are cheap for a reason, they make them cheap from cheap parts, sell them cheap, and leave ya stranded out in the middle of no-where..wondering why the freak ya did not buy something that would last !..lol. to each their own though, personally ?, i'll stick with what I know works...warn all the way !. .

Oh Warn undoubtedly is the best. I just can't believe how much they want for a new ATV winch.

I've paid less for an 8K Warn 8274 for my Jeep than Warn wants for an ATV winch.

Better, sure. 3-4x's better (because they cost 3-4x's as much)? That's a matter of opinion.

I ended up finding the super winch brand one for sub 100 bucks (new) for a 2k LB one that is compatible with winch mounting plate i can get for $40.

So I got the whole assembly for just under $150
