Im fixing a 93 trx 300ex it has, a loanstar rear end, the bearings in the rear are done. Its so bad im going to have to replace the bearing housing. I cant get the sprocket spindal off the axel. any one know any tricks? I think I have to take it of to put the new bearing housing on? I did not get the new housing yet but I will be ordering it soon!

No you remove the brake hub.It spins loose and there's a snap ring type thing there on the axle.Remove that and the chain and sprocket and it will slide out the left side of the atv.Good luck.

I have it apart that far, how do I remove the ring on the axel, that holds sprocket on axel. Dont I have to remove this to get the bearings off, and put the new bearing housing on? no manuel but plan on buying one! Do I need a special tool?

The sprocket hubs are pressed on.They don't come off.And it looks as though your gonna need a new axle.It's pretty chewed up.
