I just bought a 500 foreman Rubicon. Can anyone tell me the difference on the transmittion from d1. And d2. It’s a 2002 and in great shape and I donot want to misuse it due to my lack of education.

You'll have many more questions over time, so may as well spend some time now, reading the service manual to familiarize yourself with it. The most important thing to know about that model is that it requires proper motor oil, kept full of oil, and frequent oil changes to keep the oil clean and the transmission functional. On those models it is exceptional owner maintenance practices that keeps them alive the longest.
