Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum and I have some questions about a transmission swap. I have a 4x4 Honda 300, and it clicks while in second gear. I've also got a parts 4 Wheeler, a 2x4. Will my 2x4 tranny work on my 4x4? Or can I at least swap the 2nd gear? Thanks in advance.

Looks like transmissions gears are the same between 2wd and 4x4 models.

Click on this link, and then click on the part number and look at the "related fitment" and it shows both 300A and 300FW on the couple of gears I checked (300A is 2wd, the 300FW is 4wd).

You might want to check them all and make sure, but from looking at the couple of gears I pulled it they're the same transmission.

all the gears inside the case are the same 2wd or 4wd , it is the output housing and left case that is different on the 4wd
