Just purchased a 2000 honda 350fe four trax rancher e.s.
First time rider and maintainer.
Oil good on the dipstick.
On the tranny plug there is no fluid showing.
Should there be? What kind and how Much?

Not sure! did you get the owners manual with the quad if so check in the section on changing oil and it will shoe you where to check.

Thanks....that is the problem...no manual...I am thinking that the engine oil does both...one side with dip is to check...other side with plug is to fill....probably 10-40 oil does both

Welcome to the forums. You are correct. One is the dipstick and the other is the oil fill. Make sure you use an oil made for wet clutch systems. Honda GN4 is the recommended oil.
