I have order an open trailer to tow my Pioneer 1000 -3. My quandary is that it has a hard top and back panel with fabric doors and they tend to want to flap a little in the wind. I've ordered a 20' length of 1/2" bungee cord to tie around the entire cab, and this will catch the top of the doors, in an attempt to prevent wind damage. FYI, I couldn't get the UTV to fit into a 7' X 12' wide enclosed trailer even with a custom roadside door.

Has anyone experienced similar problems with fabric doors? Taking them off every time I tow seems to be a lot of effort, and it will expose the cab interior to road dirt.

Suggestions? Thanks

My fabric doors did catch the wind and puffed out - opening rear window helps. Solution was to buy a length of 1/2" bungee cord on Amazon, throw it over the entire cab while standing in the bed, tie a knot so you have good tension holding the doors in, and the doors are secure. You only have to tie the knot one time, and then the bungee is the proper length. I use this when going any distance or going over 50 mph. It takes only a minute to put on or take off.

How fast are you driving while towing it?
I doubt its much faster than you drive the side by side down the road when your driving it...
When I have my large bungee around the cab, holding the fabric doors, I will drive 60 - 65 mph without a problem. BTW, the fabric doors I have only take about 4 Allen screws to remove or put on. If I were going to trail it over 150 miles, I might consider removing them. Mine will sort of tuck in on the front side and I do make sure they are pushed all the way in before I tie the bungee cord around the cab. I keep my eye on the doors to make sure they are not catching wind while towing, but I've have been basically trouble free since I bought the bungee. Like I said, opening the little rear window can make a different in how much air pressure builds up inside the cab - try it both ways, but I open my window. Before I bought the bungee, I considered running a threaded rod across and inside the cab with a small block of wood on each end which could be set-up to firmly secure the doors, and that is still an option I might consider if I were traveling a very long distance (length of 6' threaded rod, 2 small blocks of wood, washer and wing nut on each end).
