I know they are for our safty but this is just crazy we have had like 5 or 6 since 4 am saturday morning through out the day saturday and they started up again at 10:00 am saturday night and again at 1:eek:o am Sunday morning weather has been crazy this weekend and gettin sick of this crap!!

Sever thunder storms and tornado and the sirn is only abot an 1/8 mile from the house and boy is it LOUD!!!!

We have the Tornado Sirens here too. I'm really close to the Air Force base so the I can here tham loud and clear...

I was up most of the night with the tornado warnings also. But I chase them so it is not that much of an inconvience to me. But my wife hates them!

If there was a tornado to come through here I wouldn't know unless I heard the beast or I had the tv or radio on other than that we have nothing.
Yeah, we don't have any sirens or anything around here either, but we don't get many tornadoes around here because of the mountains, I guess.

I didn't take these but these were last summer here in Denver...



That one is nice you can really see the inflow on the left!!!

I live in Southeastern Ky in the edge of the Appalachian Mountains, so I don't see many tornadoes because of the mountains, I guess.

It's not really the mountains that cause you not to get many but the warm air flow from the gulf dosen't really get that far east. But it has been moving more eastward here lately than normal. You can have a tornado on top of a mountain if the colliding warm air and cold air are present.

Yeah, we don't have any flat land around here, like in your picture, until you start getting out to around London. But I live right on top of a hill, about the highest place around here.
