I bet that does make for a crappy weekend. The only kind of warnings around here is on the TV or radio, but they aren't as bad here as they are around your area. What kind of warnings are in your area??

I was up most of the night with the tornado warnings also. But I chase them so it is not that much of an inconvience to me. But my wife hates them!

If there was a tornado to come through here I wouldn't know unless I heard the beast or I had the tv or radio on other than that we have nothing.

Yeah, we don't have any sirens or anything around here either, but we don't get many tornadoes around here because of the mountains, I guess.

I live in Southeastern Ky in the edge of the Appalachian Mountains, so I don't see many tornadoes because of the mountains, I guess.

It's not really the mountains that cause you not to get many but the warm air flow from the gulf dosen't really get that far east. But it has been moving more eastward here lately than normal. You can have a tornado on top of a mountain if the colliding warm air and cold air are present.

Yeah, we don't have any flat land around here, like in your picture, until you start getting out to around London. But I live right on top of a hill, about the highest place around here.
