What is the top speed on the new TRX300ex?
How many bhp does it produse?
I stand between this and the raptor 350 and are going to use it on highways.
(steert legal off course)
Which one should i choose???

No, 60mph would be the max for those machine.

The 35Hp, that is at the crank. it is down in the 20's at the wheels. I would get a 400EX it sounds like it will better suit you.

The only machines that will hit mid 60's at mid RPM range is the 450's and bigger. The 400EX will max out in the mid to upper 60's.

ok, thanks for the advice The problem about 400's and 450's is that they are twice expensive as the 300's and the 350's, because of high norwegian taxes when it comes to street legal atv's

Ah, after more research I found that the aveage 300ex owner claim 54 mph.

Yeah I am porting another head for mine , I'm working on it at my shop so It's going to take awhile since Im doing it on my Lunches, lol. I still may do the stroker crank kit the +12.4 that will bump my stroke from 57.3 to 69.7 250CCs to 350CC not sure about that yeat. going to try the head first.

it will if I ever finish it... there is a guy here down the road from me that has a motorcycle dyno, if I can ever catch him home I'm going to dyno my quad before I replace the head and after. I will post a print-out of the results. I hoping for some where in the 40hp range once I'm done with everything.. Right now Im looking for a reasonable 400ex carb the cheapest one I found was on ebay but Im picky.

If i by then change the stock sprocket to one with more tooth(14->16?) then it won't be a problem

How well do they handle with street tires?

Being a solid rear axle you will burn through tires quick, plus turns will make the machine want to 3 wheel. They make sway bars for the front...

get the 300ex if ur bored it to a 330 and get a pipe and re-jet it and run sprokets 14 36 i hit 75 on my 300ex i pics posted of it on my pro so drop by and look at it i alwso got my dads atv he said i could have post with pics to

Good to know, in Norway costs the yamaha raptor 350 10526$ fully registered
And the honda trx 300ex costs $ 7017 fully registered, bouth street legal
Based on the facts I have received from you guys i think i choose the Honda

Good choice you can gan or loose speed with tire and gear set-up it depens on which way you go.
