New to quadding and am wondering what essential tools, repair "things" I should be carry with me. Quad comes with tool kit but am sure it is not enough. Boys going on first quad trip and would like to put some things together. Have 2 420 four trax with winches. Any suggestions would be great and an explanation of how how it can be used would be greatly appreciated. Getting the quadding fever real bad.

Tire plug kit is not a bad thing to have. My buddy has one and he has some co2 cartriges to air the tire back up. I have seen him use it and it works pretty well. Extra spark plugs are good to have. My father has a rack case thing. Its has all that plus a first aide kit a few extra wrenchs to tighten things up that may come loose.

not sure if your new to the forums, but..welcome anyway !..lol..anyway..it's always a great idea to carry extra spark plugs..this is a golden rule !..a tire repair kit..most auto discount stores sells them...if you have winches on your bikes..a winch kit comes in very handy..this is a block an tackle..a recovery strap rope...and a extra winch rope < mines a xt25 with sinthetic rope > cable if yours uses cable. < this is not really common to carry around do to storage and weight >..lol...a foot air pump...if you bike has a 12v dc outlet...you can get a 12v dc pump the operates from it !...oh..most important....a cell phone..for that 911 call if it ever happends !..lol..a first aid kit might come in handy < you never know > !..lol..a 50 ft rope really does come in handy..spec when you or your buddies winch decide to go on a coffee break...not many ppl carry extra gas..but..if you got a place for it..a 1 or 2 gallon gas can with gas may get you back to your truck or camp..the way i see 4 wheeling..it's kinda like going camping..your gonna be out in the woods..sticks..what not..and you wanna be ready for what nature throws at you..lol..soo..be ready !..hope this helps you out !

You can never have enough tools with you, so carry what you can make room for. I carry a tire plug kit and tire pump. You can use those 12 volt air pumps, but eventually they will get dirt and dust on the inside of them and they get to where they don't want to pump good. You can prevent this by putting it in some kind of thick plastic, sealable bag. It's important to keep your tire plugs in something waterproof, too, so the water and dirt will stay out. A tow strap is important and extra spark plugs. I could go on and on, but I would take this stuff and anything else I could think of that I might need that I can make room for. I've got one of those hard plastic passenger seats with storage and it will hold a lot. It's even got a place on the back in the center, between the two storage compartments, for a 1 gallon gas can.
