I have a 2019 trx500fa foreman rubicon dct deluxe; presently with stock tires ( f 25x8x12 - r 25x10x12)
Thinking of going to ( f 27x10x12 - r 27x12x12)
Any suggestions, advice, hints etc all gratefully accepted.

They have more balls with skinny rear tires and stay in ruts better, I dont like 12 wide rear tires on an irs atv.
You can run 28x10's front and rear on stock rims no problem. My brother has 28x10 wild thangs on stock rims on his 21 rubicon dct. I have 27x9's front and rear on stock rims on my foot shift rubicon.
My brother had 27x9's front and 27x12's rear for a while but mine had quite a bit more power with the skinny rears and rode nicer so he switched to 28x10's, even tho the tires are taller it has more balls as they're lighter and skinnier.

The exception to all skinnies is zillas or wild thangs, the 11's are only 10 wide. If you get zillas get 27x9's and 27x11's.

Eric; thanks for the info. Where I ride (Eastern NL) there are a lot, and I mean a lot of marsh trails and the more surface area you can lay down the more you keep moving!!
First I’ve heard of having skinny rears, I’ll ask around and see what the guys in my area think and maybe even give it a try thanks.
I was also wondering if I’d need to add a clutch kit when going up in size, also frame rub issues.

You're likely better off with wide tires if you ride in the marsh trails a lot. It's hard bottom stuff most everywhere else and skinnies are better for that.
See what the locals are running. If you can get them 28 inch mud bugs are really good in that stuff, they paddle without digging in better than most of the newer tires.
You can fit wide 30 inch 12 wide tires without rubbing on a rubicon, it wont turn them worth a dam but they fit.
There's no clutch kits for a dct rubicon, stick with 27's or 28's and it'll be fine stock.

Thanks Eric, sounds like good advice. Now all I gotta do is get some tires here. Thinking about going with ITP Blackwater Evolutions, they get a good name around my area, good for most all terrain and long wearing. But not many with my type bike, so it will be a topic for discussion after the rides.
