Hi everyone,
New here, I have the 2021 Rubicon deluxe 520 with stock tires. Its time to change my tires and was wondering about going to 27".
I was thinking of going with 27-9-12 using my stock rims all around but wondering if I need to do anything to make it fit...i.e. wheel spacers, gearing, etc...?
or Should I go with 27-9-12 in front and 27-11-12 at back?

I have 27x9's cst anclas on the stock rims.
My brother has 28x10's wild thangs on the stock rims, both of us have 520 rubicons.
You dont need to do anything to make bigger tires fit on the stock rims, 30x10's will clear on stock rims.

It depends on the tires if the 9's are better than the 11's on the rear, not all tires are the width they claim.
Zillas and wild thangs run skinny, if you get them get 11's for the rear, they're more like 10 wide.
My cst anclas are 9.5 wide, so those 9's on the rear are fine, they're the same width as the stock rear tires, my brothers 28x10 wild thangs are 27x9.5 actual size.

Thanks a bunch for the reply, make sense.
I'm mainly a sunday driver but do like the IPT Mud Lite II tires and the big horns (Had those before and liked).

Both of those in 9 wide front and rear would be fine.
I've had a couple of sets of big horns, one set was 26's the other 27's, I'll never buy the wide ones again, the wide rears made my atv push straight ahead in corners.
The mud lite II's look like a good tire and is by far the best mud lite. I never gave them much thought when getting tires as the mud lite XL really sucks and I thought they were more similar than they are.

I feel bad for the local dealers they cant compete with the online parts places. They need to start shipping parts to our houses.
Even if a part cost 20 bucks more online it's cheaper in the end as I dont have to drive anywhere to pick it up.
