Ive recently came across a set of wheels and tires (26 inch) wheels are 12x7 2+5 .. i was sure it fitted on the machine and it does , however the tire sit right on the exhaust pipe , on the heat shield .. oem pipe .... any ideas on what i should do .. im thinking of moving it up a bit i mean im gonna have to custom made brackets or find a way to attach it higher ... or change pipe .. on the latter im not sure if i would still have the same problem as to move it up ... any ideas at all ? Thanks guys

The off set is right ... maybe not for 26 inch but yeah it fits good the tire rubs because of the height mostly ... anyhow .. i didnt even think about spacers .. thanks , and i was thinking of moving it up a few inch .. its stress but not much ... yeah ill post pics tomorrow .. but i think spacers are the way to go on this one ! Here an odd question spacers on 4? Or just rear ?

so im set on buying some spacers , however i dont know if i should put larger on the back and less in front or i should go all around in the same size , my thought are going with 2 inches in the back and 1 inch in front .... what do you think

Thanks for your input , old wheels are 11 inch rim, i have 12 in rim tires on , so i went from 24 inch to 26 inch ... i dont see this being an issue .. but i believe i may have gotten the wrong off set ... im fairly certain that going with a 1inch spacer would do the trick ... however you might be right with some of the problems i may encounter in the future ... i came across a really good deal on spacers .. 40$ for all 4 so im gonna give it a try at it first and see what it feels like ... as far as the rub goes it isnt that much to be honest ...im curious to see what would be the best off set in 12 inch rim for this quad ... i thought i was right going with 12x7 2+5 ...

Yeah very good point , i could get it copied however with the shipping rate that id have to pay to send it back its probably gonna cost me the same ... yeah i heard about spacers coming loose i was totaly gonna put lick tite on .. for sure ! ... 3/4 inch narrower its not that bad as im looking to clear from the exhaust in the back and i know theres lots of room in front as i use same wheels and tires size except in height ... im set on putting on a lift and spacers .. its gonna give it a better look too .. not something im worried about but if it does .. well fine ..

So i was reading that some people flip their rims around to get a wider stance ... i looked at my older rims and the offset was opposite of what i got now so i figured id give it a shot ... and it worked fine ... the valve stem doesnt rub on anything so i wont need to drill a new hole for it ... i might just be ok with the rims flipped , specially on the rear i read that people had problems with ball joints in front but not a whole lot of problems being reported on the rear ... i rode the bike to be sure i went on the small bumps of snow and ice in front of the garage .. no problems ... im still gonna put on the 2 inch lift ... so far so good

I don't think it will rust away any time soon , very easy to make with a hand held band saw , grinder and a drill press as long as you have one for the pattern ---- I grabbed the wrong pic , it is not primed in that pic , I use the self-ethicing primer , that stuff is great , I have some pieces of metal with only primer on it for a couple of years laying in wet oak leaves and it looks great
Thats awesome , i would do that too but for the cost to ship back the one i bought and make a copy it would cost me the same ... well i still is a good idea since id probably would get it done in thicker metal than factory... i dont know ill see what ill don when i get ot if i dont like the thickness or material im gonna get it copied
