So I've been thinking about selling some of my toys so I can get bigger and better toys. I just have no idea how to ask. Any help on determining what I should ask for these would be appreciated.

2003 Honda Recon in good shape other than the plastic is faded and scratched, I recently had the carb rebuilt and spark plug replaced. It is 100% stock. I gave $1500 for it three years ago.

2008 American Sportsworks UTV 340CC Honda 2WD. This is pretty much in perfect condition other than scratches in the bed. This is the one that sells at tractor supply for $5000.

Go to KBB and look in the motorcycle section for the trade in and retail prices of the machines. Somewhere between those 2 numbers is your sweet spot. You can also check NADA.

Clean the machines up and put them on craigslist. Don't worry about the faded and scratched plastic, just shine them up and they will get attention.

For the first one, I would say you should be able to get 1500 for it if you find the right person, I sold a real old Yamaha Blaster I had last year and got 1 grand for it, so you just look around for the right buyer and you should easily be able to make enough to get your money back at 1.5 grand.

The second one, is it all stock? Also did you buy it for 5,000? Or is that just the brand new price?

UTV is stock. A friend of mine bought it new and never drove it. They had it for six months and maybe used it for 30 minutes. I took over their payments at $3600 which it is paid off now.

When you list it, call it both American Sportworks and also Brister. Either Brister became AS or vice versa, but whatever.

Brister | Brister's | Brister Chuck Wagon | American Sportworks | amsportworks.com

It looks like it's the CW11 model, known as the Chuck Wagon:

UTV Models from American SportWorks | amsportworks.com

CW11 UTV from American Sportworks | amsportworks.com

retail price is around $3300, so I think you'd be hard pressed to get 4k for it.

I would post it as a classified ad on ebay, not an auction. The classifeds are free and it only displays to people within 100 mile radius. I've listed a couple things like that and while never sold to anyone from ebay ad, I got some lookers, so it's worth posting it.
