The shifter drive motor is not getting power. New battery motor does work. The instrumental does not work so no code. the ECM gives the power to motor but what tells it to do so?

The only 500 made in 2002 was the TRX500FA Foreman Rubicon. Can you verify what you have? Year, model number...? Got a photo of the bike?
