Well I replaced all the vent lines on my blue 300 today effectively finishing it for the summer season so decided to get the 3002wd out and start on it
In doing so I got a good look at the front of the red 4wd and realized someone had built a bumper for it before.
It would be fairly easy to mount a winch behind this one so here's a couple of pix to give y'all other 300 guys the idea
Hopefully it helps ?

It's pretty basic but should do the job
The top that goes around OEM lights is gone then the new bumper made to attach to existing arms and top of remaining section
It's already dark out so didn't get anymore pixbut top part has mounting tabs welded on for lights to mount to and is pretty solid pipe maybe 1" diameter
At minimum it's diff

I'll be glad when I finally get this bike running
Noticed today the front shaft cover is missing along with the bottom skid plate and splash guards under F fender
Hopefully by end of summer both these quads will be running again though cause they sat long enough waiting on me to heal
Finally back on em now so we'll see ?

I have one side fender splash guard and the front driveshaft guard if your thinking of refitting? You can have them for the cost of shipping if that’s worth it to you?
I removed them as they trap the mud, that mud gets heavy quick on a mud bike lol.

Whoever made that bumper did a decent job, it looks good doesn’t it.

Mounting winches to bumpers is usually a bad idea, those bolts and the way they fix to the frame aren’t strong at all. In the ideal world you want the winch mounting to the main frame down tubes, the tubes that the front mounting of you upper A Arm are attached to.

It looks like they mounted this one to the lower mounting point of OEM bumper then cut HL guard section off and welded a mount on homemade bumper to attach to what used to be the middle of OEM bumper
Not sure what bolts it has, bought that bike for my late Wife but she died before I could finish it and get it running
It is a solid looking bumper though

The other 300's

OK moved stuff around today so I can get to rear axle on the 2wd
The front is the 88fwd the back the 88twd
My son rode the 2wd back when he was a teenager some 15 years ago hence the "camo" paint work
Could have beat him when he did that but we had a lot of fun on em back then
The front bike is a 88fwd, both been sitting a long time but it's time to get em running and riding em again now ?

I’m glad you joined this forum RM, I can see a few build threads coming along soon. That’s a 350d I’ve spotted in the background of the second pic is it?

Well I don't know the difference in the D or other 350's but it's a 86 350 all right
Kind of ugly but Damn that things strong!!!
That's the one that needs a fuel tank to be mud ready again
It runs now other than that and don't think the tiny lawnmower tank that's nursing it now would do so good in mud or water
Gets it around the yard but not much else
Here's a pic of it

P.S. the 400ex behind it ain't mine, just fixing it for a riding buddy RM. ?
