2007 Foreman 500 that dropped a valve. Needs top end and bottom end of motor cleaned out $600

All of these popped up about 2 hours from me and I'm both broke and physically unable to get them (can't lift over 10lbs for another 3 weeks).

That's usually my luck too! I'm praying that I get lucky with this 300 I was told about, not heard anything as yet but they say no news is good news, right?!

I'm still amazed at how cheap you guys pick up Hondas, a foreman for $600 is ridiculously cheap, that would be on eBayUK for say, £2500 in that condition.

The 500 top end is trashed. Like hole in the piston trashed, needs a new head trashed, but for $600 it's a no brainer. Could double that in parts easily just selling off diffs, brakes, and a few other odds and ends.

Same thing with the 250. I happened to look at ebay the other day and the rear driveshafts bring $75ish at a minimum. Seats bring over $100, and you have the BR cam and timing chain in the motor, cylinder for a 300, and that's not even looking at the real gem; the rear axle.

Wish there were deals like that around here. Been checking CL every day looking for more machines to part out or fix up. Most is either junk or seller is asking too much.

I've had the best luck putting a wanted ad out on CL. Benefit to that is I don't have to rush right over since the deals aren't advertised.

Best deal I have got that way was a mostly original 2001 Banshee for $400. Wasn't running and seller didn't know why and just wanted it gone. He set the price. Turns out it didn't have spark. I put a good used stator in it for $100 and a few other odds and ends. Had about $600 into it and sold it for $1900.

When I get back on my feet I might do that.

I think I'm gonna get up early Sat morning and go grab those 300 fenders if the guy still has them. The 300 I just bought has mismatched fenders (red front, blue rear) and I have a good green tank so while it will be about a 4 hour round trip, won't cost me but about $20 in gas in my Accord.

The 250 is sold. I was going to nab it to get the rear for this new 300 I picked up.

Yeah if I didn't already have an 07 500 out back waiting for me to rebuild it I probably would too. I gotta get some work done and quit buying projects until I get some out of the yard.....

It's brutal over here trying to find a bargain, if it seems to good to be true, it usually is! £500 would be rock bottom price for a 300 non running with bust plastics etc etc
The more I look at 350d's though the more I'm thinking I'd like one! I want a stock ATV just to potter around the paddocks and tow a small trailer here at work. I've wanted a 500 for quite a while but thinking I'd rather spend my money on a classic ATV. 500's will be around for a long time yet, those 350's are getting like Dodo poop to find in good shape now.
