Protect your head without breaking the bank

A helmet is the single most important thing you must have to go riding an ATV, or driving a UTV. Sure, 99.9% of the time, you don’t need it. But that one time you do, it’ll save your life. Trust me – I know. I’ve said this before that I would not be here today if not for my helmet. But I also understand that helmets cost money. While yes, there are some sweet features you’re not going to find below a certain price point, the fact remains that you can find some really great helmets that won’t but a major hurting on your wallet. Here are 10 of the best affordable helmets you can get.

Hi Goose, I am in total agreement. Also a helmet is a permanent mount for a visor (eye protection) So with eyes protected plus a skull wrapper a helmet is a good deal. Be safe , insure tomorrow, wear a helmet.

I like to check out the "last year models" closeouts on Rocky Mountain ATV. They discontinue colors or styles and drop the prices dramatically, making even high end helmets affordable. They do the same thing with riding gloves, jerseys, boots, etc.

I just got my new thor sector helmet 2 weeks ago. Ordered it from rockymountain for 109. Fits really nice and its super light weight. Its got alot more safety ratings then my old hjc and thats seen better days. And its about half the weight. Was pumped to see it made the list!

helmets saved my butt on MANY occasions, so has gloves and other safety gear, road rash sucks ! gear up , its NOT that bad to wear ocne you wear it a while and get used to it, you will actually feel weird riding without it as time goes on
and HECK, I always tell folks, as soon as you put a helmet on and other gear, your immediately faster
as makes you feel safer and willing to push things a little more maybe LOL

sadly, I seldom EVER see anyone wearing a helmet in my area, ONLY one's I see are sport bike(as in on road bikes) and sport ATV riders and well, ALL the MX guys wear em
the rest, ?? rather a B ball hat and a drinking hand free it seems?
