I have a 2003 foreman 450ES. first oil change since I got the ATV. will it hurt it to run full synthetic oil??? I change the oil more often than most...

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I certainly hope that you did not get this ATV in 2003(LOL) You can use pure synthetic oil if you want, and have a cheap source of it. But generally, good ol dino oil of the correct grade and formulation(ie-no friction modifiers) will be just fine---and mostly, a lot less expensive.

run synthetic if you want, but man is it alot more expensive. castrol is all i run in my machines.

I run only Mobile I synthetic in all engines I own and have done so for over 30 years. I have never had a failure.

Not sure if it's true or not but I was told that the detergents in synthetic oil is not good for the clutches.
