I noticed a crack in the bottom of the swingarm on my 2004 250ex, and i was looking into buying a new one on ebay. I found on thats for a 2000 250 recon and it looks very similar, but the part numbers on the parts websites dont matchup... Any idea if they're interchangeable?
Thanks guys!

The recon is the same as the 250EX they changed the plastics and removed the pull start option and made it a great entry level sport quad. I would say the rear will fit. The gear ratios may be somewhat different as to why the parts numbers don't match

The axle tubes are a little different too. The recon will have a boss on the left hand tube to be used when mounting a trailer hitch.

True but the recon was the platform for the EX so I feel confident that the rears will interchange after all the engines are identical

By looking at the parts diagrams for each bike, the swingarms look the same, but it's just a drawing. If I had to guess, I would say it would fit though.

Well judging by the drawings I would say they would be the same but the part numbers are different. I think that's because on the websites it comes with all the hardware and so the internals would be different.
