my son has a 1999 honda 300ex and there are 2 hex bolts and when i sent it to the shop they told me the housing was cracked and the old barring casting is shot so i got a new lonestar bearring casting and im haveing trouble finding out how to pull the axles to pull the swing arm and have the arm werlded. plz help:icon_cussing:

Plz help

like i said i have a new lonestar raceing casting with sealed bearings and what i want to do is pull the axels off so i can put it in and then have it wleded with the new casting so that when welded it is not distorted and i cant get the axels out im not shure what im doing wring the brake is off and the tires are off i have the chain off and im not shure what to do from here.:icon_cussing:

Ok you have to back the 2 large nuts off on the brake side remove the brake side Wheel Hub there is a retainer clip holding the brake rotor housing on the axle (if you drive the axle towards the brake side you may can get to the retainer clip better) remove the sprocket and the axle should slide out through the sprocket side.

thank you so much for the help i would go try it right now but i cant get my ring spreader till tomarrow when my cousin i lent it to gets home...lol will let you know how it goes is there another step to pulling the old casting out?
i hope what i am doing is understandable being its my 11 year olds quad and 600 for a new swing arm is just gonna have to wait.

Just use two flat bladed screwdrivers. I have a 250X swingarm if you can't fix that one. I take a long flat screw driver and stick it through one side and angle it toward the top or bottom and drive out the bearings and seals kind of like you would a car front rotor. The carrier will come out the sprocket side aslo.
