It could be a connection problem, or also the battery or the solenoid could be bad. In short, it's hard to say without testing it.

Rap the solenoid with a screw driver and see if it will start. If not, try jumping it from a car and see if it starts. If it jump starts, then likely it's the battery. If it still won't start being jumped, then it's likely the solenoid or the connections need to be cleaned.

Welcome to the forums. I agree with Pain. Clean all your connections, first, and go from there.

jump your selonoid's terminals with a screw driver ( touch the two post on it ).if it cranks..then your seloniod is bad.

I tried that, nothing, then i took a volt meter and tested the wire goin into the starter and its get 12volts, so i thinking now its the starter
Test your starter by hooking it straight up to a good battery using jumper cables. I like to use a known good battery such as in an automobile I drive everyday. Hook one end of the cables to the automobile battery. On the other, end hook the ground clamp to the engine or starter casing, either one. Now, firmly touch the positive clamp to the terminal or post on the starter. Be aware that it will probably arc when you touch it. If the starter doesn't turn, it's bad. If it doesn't turn when you touch the positive clamp to the post, don't hold it on too long because it may get too hot if the starter isn't turning.

Welcome to the forums. I use a starter switch that I hold in my hand for starter problems. They are cheap and can be found at most automotive stores.

I have the same problem with my 06 recon. This is the third time it has happend. The brushes in the starter are going out. If u hold the start button and tap on the starter with a screwdriver it will turn over. I dont know what causes it but ive changed the brushes on 1 and changed the whole starter twice
