I've had this Tera 35 for about a year and a half and used it while mud riding a handful of times maybe. Long story short, my winch quit working, all it does is click at the solenoid/ contactor. I think my 3 year old may have burned the motor (that's a whole other story haha) while riding with my father in law. The winch hook is pulled almost all the way to the fair lead... with a hook stopper on it... so it pulled in there pretty good.
I've tried to check solenoid ... and winch... I used jumper cables from my truck battery straight to the winch motor and I got nothing.... the winch didnt even try to turn.... no matter how i touched the contacts. So I'm thinking my motor is gone and burned out.... 3 year old possibly holding the "IN" button would be the cause... with the hook in the spot it's in.... I'm speculating here, my bike has been at my father in laws house... he was riding my boy around keeping it going while i didnt even have time to start it.

Try tapping on the winch motor while you have jumper cables (from a strong battery) connected to the two motor posts. You might get lucky if one of the brushes are stuck... if that don't work then you'll probably have to take the winch motor apart so the armature can be disengaged from the reduction gears set. Once you get some slack in the cable you can flip it into free-spool and get your hook & snubber yanked back out of the fairlead. Let us know how it goes.

junk it, buy a warn, then keep your 3 yr old off your atv..lol.
