Hey Honda ATV Forums! I have recently bought a 1986 TRX 200 SX and it runs great and really just needs cosmetics and a few tune ups, but my front drum brakes are jammed in. I haven't messed with it myself yet, wasnt sure where to start. It has no brake fluid and the ?button? that the lever pushes in as you brake is jammed in so i wasnt sure what i needed to do first. Saw a few posts about the brakes not working right but couldnt find a post where it was stuck and wont come back out. Anyways, i appriciate any help or suggestions.
happy holidays!

The master cylinder is stuck in? Unbolt the brake line from it (after you've wrapped an absorbent rag around the banjo fitting) and see if brake fluid escapes under pressure. Then rebuild or replace the master cylinder, back out the brake adjusters on each side and take the hubs off to check the rest of the brake system out. You'll probably need to flush out the brake lines and the wheel cylinders, at minimum. See the sticky thread at the top of this section for tips on bleeding the brakes after all repairs have been done.

You can browse for a copy of the service manual from here:
