I own a 2003 Honda Foreman TRX450fe and am having starting issues. My bike has been sitting for roughly 6 months and will not start. The bike turns over but wont stay running. Below are the things i already did to see if i could fix it.

new
battery, spark plug, oil and oil filter, gas and treatment

made sure the following was on correctly.

choke pulled all the way out
fuel to gas on
kill switch in correct position

was able to get it to start for a couple seconds after spraying starter fluid into the carb but it dies quickly after

Thoughts?

it did run ok before it sat. i didnt add fuel treatment before it sat but the tank for the most part was empty. i did add fuel treatment and new gas when starting again. thanks

Thanks all.

I have since purchased a replacement carb and installed it myself. I followed everything durning the install but now I have gas spewing into the air filter housing then to the floor. What should I do?

I haven't run it thinking this could cause another issue.

it is a china knock off from amazon. The way i look at it is that i now have two. I have the OEM that i can teach myself how to repair with this kit and one to allow me to ride but unfortunately I've run into this problem now. i will have to review the drain screw to see if its tight or not. is the drain screw at the bottom of the carb?
