When I push on starter button the atv makes a click (solenoid obviously) and my green light goes out with no response from starter. I checked battery it is at 13.4V and connections are tight. Unfortunately I had right foot injury and cannot push the manual start. Any ideas. Thank you::sad

Hi yes that sounds like the starter solenoid has failed, or the starter cable contacts are dirty. The happened to me last year; you can buy a new OEM solenoid for about $80

My 02' did the same thing. I replaced the solenoid and still nothing so i went to the starter next. Realized it was not healthy, rebuilt it and ran good after that.

If it does turn out to be the solenoid is the problem , don't buy a Honda 300 solenoid for $80 , buy a 420 solenoid for $19 , same thing , different color wires but plugged right in and saves you $61

Thanks all who responded. I have changed the solenoid with no results. My problem is probably same as Tyler's i.e. starter gone

That was a good catch by him I didn’t think of that one.

Try tapping on it a little
