Starter issues

New charged battery/ connections all proper/ when I turn on and hit start button I can here the solenoid click but am only getting about 5 volts on the wire coming off the solenoid going to the starter? What could be causing this as I’m getting 12v on battery side of the solenoid?

you said battery is new.

Is it the correct battery for this machine?

Best to review the troubleshooting steps in the service manual.

Clean and tighten all the battery connections
