Went to start my 2009 Rancher AT that has been sitting in the shed for 3 months. Fully charged battery I turn the key hit the starter and it just clicks ,the dash lights flicker and something behind the battery ticks non stop until I turn the key off. Everything seems to be normal when I first turn the key when I hit the starter everything goes south. All suggestions welcome.

My suggestion is to get your battery "load tested" at an auto parts store. I will bet its deader than Millard Fillmore and that you will be leaving the store with a new one.

Thanks b52 .I put the battery into my John deere lawn mower and the same thing happened.I replaced the battery all is good. The only question I have is who is Millard Fillmore?
