New member here. Recently purchased a used 2007 Foreman 500ES no modifications. It only has 825 miles on it so it has done quite a bit of sitting around. As with most sitting engines, I knew there would be carb/fuel issues. I loaded the bike up and brought it home. Choke cable was bad so I replaced it and like an idiot did not clean the carb when I had it halfway off. Learning experience #1! Lol! I took the carb off later and cleaned it. Started the bike up and it would idle fine, but stall out when I pushed the throttle. This time, I drained all the gas and cleaned the carb again. Put new gas in with an ounce of sea foam hoping it would help clean some too. The issue never went away. I took the air filter off, replaced the lid seeing if the filter was too dirty. Issue still there. So I ordered a Honda carb and replaced the old one. I am now stumped beyond control. Haha! New carb still shows the same symptoms as the old one. What else is recommended to try? I’m fairly decent at changing parts, but not the greatest at diagnosing the problems. I thought for sure, this would be somewhat simple, but darn was I wrong!

Sounds like starving for fuel under load or
Is the plug badly fouled?

Spark plug was fouled. Dry fouled carbon around the electrode which could be from the bad carb. I bought 2 new NGK plugs for now until Honda shop opens. Seemed to run fine for now. Thanks Goober for the help!
in my years of working on atvs, one odd thing I learned about spark plugs ?, is they will not fire inside the cylinder, but yet..would outside the cylinder !. does happen !.
