Took my spark arrestor off for its first 600 hour cleaning and a thread on one of the bolts stayed in the nut plate (I guess), and the dang screw won't go back in and is stripping. Anyone have this issue? I guess I need to pull the muffler and get it tapped.

Is there any directions on here to pull the muffler? Do I disconnect the hose clamp or the two manifold bolts in front of the rear O2 sensor?

Spark arrestors don’t really work anyway, they just ‘have’ to be fitted by the manufacturers. Personally I’d thread lock it back in and never remove it again.
If your ATV is new however then I understand why you would want it repaired properly.

We need to know which ATV you have to advise on your questions too :)

I guess the make/model would help. It's a 2016 Pioneer 1000 3 seater.
A new muffler sounds expensive now you mention the model! Have you any photos? You may get lucky and be able to drill and tap to the next size up.
