tezzer , I would hook anything to that outlet after I seen what is possible by doing so , I bought a 300 not running for a parts bike, the grandfather had changed so many parts on the bike and could never get it to spark and gave up , while stripping all the wire loom and tape off the harness , I found the power wire to that plug had melted all the way back to the battery , after replacing the harness it cranked right up and that is now my son's 300 and a great running bike

if you want a power port , I like using those connectors , that look like a boat trailer light plug , except it is two wires instead of 4 , it is the same connector used on battery maintainers , so the battery maintainer plug can double as a power lead

It’s explained in your owner’s manual
I used mine to power a pair of led lights and an accessory plug-in.
It’s a switched circuit to be used to power accessories

Here ya go this diagram is in the owner’s manual
and probably service manual too

This is the part you’re missing that hooks up to your accessory item

Take a volt meter (VDC) and hook up to the wires in your end. Switch off should be zero volts; switch on should be 12 vdc
