My 2007 TRX400F Does not shift from neutral to drive reliably. Sometimes the light which indicates that the quad is in gear comes on but the transmission does not engage. It will shift into reverse reliably. I removed the side covers to get at the cable and shift mechanism and can see that the lever on the side of the transmission to which the cable attaches does not move fully into the back position when the shift lever is placed in drive. There seems to be about a 1/8" to 1/4" slack in the lever even though the shift stick is in drive position. When the lever is manually pushed into the drive position the transmission will engage. Is there a way I can fix this? Can I and how do I adjust this shift cable to take the slack out of the line.

Thanks in advance!
