With boring the cylinder you could get it close to a 400. I'm not sure about the stroke. You can also upgrade to a more aggressive cam, exhaust, intake. That would be a huge hop up.

Well for starters boring will gain a few CCs using mine as an example... 250X = 246CCs 74mm stock piston 57.3mm stroke I am bored .050 over with an 80mm piston so to convert all of this to CCs we have to do the math..... bore X bore X stroke X.7854 = CCs so..you have to convert mm to cm so...8.0 X 8.0 X 5.73 X 0.7854 = 288.021888 or 288CCs if I were to add a stroker crank of +12 giving me 70mm of stroke then I would gain a full 102CCs making my 250 a 352. if You step your quad (a 350) up to an 86mm 10:1 CR piston you will be at 393CCs which is a big power difference add a cam larger bore carb, exhaust and filter you will have a pretty quick unit. Hope this helps.

Check www.powroll.com I didn't see any stroker kits but i bet it wouldn't be beyond them to do it. As far a longevity I wouldn't be scared to say that you would get great service out of your quad as long as you keep up on the maintanance.

Wow you guys rock on! I ordered a new decomp cable, electric starter but like a dumb ass I let fall a washer behind the alternator while dismounting the starter spindle don't ask or add comment I know...its a begginner mistake I'll have to drop my oil, recycle it then dismount all the left crank case cover to reach that fugging washer out off there than pu my brand new starter put my decompression cable then I jump on the carburator. I bought a repaire kit it combine needle spring and jet! Let's see what it does to her...! Continue sharing your nice experience!

Honda for ever...for another 23 years at least! lol

both but its seem like te electrical harness as a problem soe where the relay does is job but still some time the relay just goes "click" then nothing and the battery is good tho....I dont read voltage value on the starter pole when pushin de start button!....theeeeee...so I'll be a fourtrax 1986 pro at the end on this!

Coming up next Honda shop manual from Ebay...very rare from my research!

Any commentaries or Idea...I'm open to it!

Thanks!

Little update here the Starter was seized, air filter been poorly maintained since the last 15 years...lol! The carb rebuilted with new slow and pilot jets and everything that come with a carb rebuilt kit. Opened the original fuel filter with my dremel it was an miserable mess inside of it. So no wonder why the engine was running squarely ( can I say this in english...?)Anyway that's it...pictures to come!

Concerning the kick starter kicking free, sounds like the one-way clutch bearing is bad. That would make it kick free and sometimes it will catch and kick over. The one-way clutch bearing is also what makes the engine hold the 4-wheeler back when going down hill. If it's bad, it will seem like the 4-wheeler goes in neutral all of a sudden, sometimes, when going down hill. Just bump the throttle when it does this, and it will catch and hold the 4-wheeler back again.
