yes, the bigger the front sprocket the longer the gear will be and the more top end you will have opposite is true for rear (smaller = longer more top). Changing one tooth on the front is the eqivalent of changing three on the back. You can get a front sprocket cheap for under $10 whereas a rear is at least $20+. Without more mods a 14/36 gear would probably make it feel weaker on the bottom. Tire size has alot to do with this as well. What size do you run?so i should just get the 14 front cuz i got a 38 in the back
