What do you have to adjust to get it to start?

Sounds like to me you may have some carb issues?? float is sticking and soaking the reeds or you have a bad reed?

I was thinking it might be a carb problem, too.

I was guessing wiring because he said it dies when he pitches it sideways. But I guess if you are mashing on the gas to slide it...

He said it was hard to start is why I think it might be a carb problem, but a weak stator can cause that too.

try to start a 2 stroke with a cracked reed valve... but werent the older honda notorious for the stator wires running rigt up close to the front sprocket? might want to check the wires running into the case for chafing

all the wires are good. its a brand new delta 3 reed. it dies while im going straight as well like i will be flying and slow down and rev it to clean out junk and get ready to start slamin i go to hit throttle and like have nothing and slowly dies and if i try to give it throttle it goes wwhoooohaaa like everyone says> but its like i lose all spark and it just dumps it in there

Ohm out the coil it may be breaking down as it gets hot. also check to make sure the boot is screwed down tightly onto the wire.

I agree with Moose, check the ignition coil. The way you are describing it, it sounds like a bad ignition coil.

Oh, sorry, I just now saw where you said you already checked the coil.

Will it start easier if you try to push start it? If it will, I would say the stator is bad.

I would ohm out the stator and also the pulse generator and see if they read within specs.
