Im not sure if anyone knows, but IMO running your atv dry helps keep all the gum out.
i run all my motors dry if i dont start them for a week+.
i only do it on CARBURATED motors.
Fuel injected engines aren't a great idea for running dry.
they can get clogged up by any dirt/debris left in your line.
but, my point is, does anybody else let there atv run dry off gas?

Yeah, I do that if I don't plan on riding it for a while.

I drain the gas after shutting it down. I believe running it out creates a lean condition that is not good for the engine, especially on 2 strokes.
