Hi everybody. I have the crankcase of a 07 400ex split and stripped of all parts. I ordered all new bearings and 2 of the bearings are not smooth at all. They are part #s 91006-hn1-a41 and 91004-hn1-a41. They are sealed on one side and goldish in color on the sealed side. They also have a different center than the others . Anyone that has been in there knows what i mean. They go to the transmission. Anyway, I ordered replacements and the second set does the same thing. The ones I took out of the case were smooth as glass. Only explanation I can think of is they were sitting in oil? I don't want to reuse the old ones. Do these sealed ones loosen up or something? Also, does it matter if the letters on the bearings face out when installed in the case? Thanks. I can clarify if needed

They came from partzilla (hope its ok to say that). They definetely arent packed with grease.
i assume they shouldnt be and the oil willl lubricate them?

Did these come from a dealer or a bearing supplier. I don't know your bike but my 08 420 doesn't have sealed bearings as they are oil bath. Sealed bearings normally are packed with grease and would have resistance

Ok. Ill try that. And nevermind on the way the bearings face. I see in the manual where it says the letters face out. Thanks
