I found one on my brother's 250X and was wondering what it does. After some research, i found everything from it was an aftermarket rev limiter to something that is supposed to provide a stronger spark. Also heard that they were useless and actually heard stories of them messing up iginition systems. I just wanted some more info. as to what they are.

I believe they are supposed to do something to the ignition system to give you a stronger spark or something like that. I'm not 100% sure on this, either. I always thought that was what they were for, though.

I haven't had any issues with mine it creats power throughout your gears, increases spark (it's main purpose) when you increase spark you burn more or the fuel in the chamber thus creating more power.
