Ok so I have a 1998 Honda Fourtrax 300. Any gear it rides fine with about low throttle but whenever it's I do try it at a high throttle it wants to jolt or hesitate. Wondering if it sounds like it's time to sell or can anyone tell what's wrong with it. (If any of that made sense.)

Start with the basics, remove, strip and clean your carb thoroughly, refit and see how it runs. The FSM states that the mixture screw should be somewhere near 2 1/2 turns out.

Let us know how you get on.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond to y'all but thanks for the info. All it turned out to be was just needing new oil lol I hope. I changed it and the next day it ran perfect but thanks anyways.
new oil won't change how the motor runs as far as fuel goes. what ever was wrong in the carb ?, unless its not cleaned/checked, and made sure it's ok ?, it will happen again, new oil or not. but just changing the oil has no effect on how well the motor runs or not when it comes to carb prob's :).
