I have a 2003 Honda 350 Rancher ES. There is an electrical harness/wire that attaches to the lower back side of the engine that controls my ability to shift into reverse. my plug is damaged , does anyone have a Part number for this plug or harness

I would think you could just get a female bullet connector and crimp it on the end of the wire.

You can also just permanently ground the wire (hook it under a bolt on the motor) which effectively bypasses that plug/switch. You'll still have to push the red handlebar button and pull the brake lever back to go into reverse.

You can just wire tie the reverse lever pulled and not have to worry about the button and pulling the brake lever.

too me ^^^ this beg's for a missed down shift from 1st to reverse while rolling forward, which means in the end...A DAMAGED TRANSMISSION !. your atv, your call.

Yeah, you gotta leave SOME kind of safety feature on place unless you're 100% sure you're not gonna accidentally put it in R while downshifting.
