I only use this. Use this after the heat gun, this removes that sticky junk and leaves your bike smelling like oranges. This also guarantees it won't remove paint.

I should add here, DONT be tempted to use methylated spirits, denatured alcohol, white spirits, paint thinner or anything along those lines. Almost everything in the automotive industry is ‘petrol proof’, all those listed above will create white blemishes where you have rubbed away at the sticky.

If you have access to one, a hot water pressure washer does a good job also, it needs to be hot around 220F and about 2gpm, you can get the painted surface to original, but the sun fade will always leave a mark

Decal Glue Removal

I discovered a sticker glue removal method yesterday that worked sooo well I'm making my first post.

EQUAL PARTS BAKING SODA (not baking powder) + COOKING OIL (canola, olive, peanut, etc.)

Heat the decal and/or glue with a hair dryer or with a rag soaked with hot water.
Then dip a cloth or worn 3m pad in your soda/oil mixture and rub in circles.
Wash area with dish soap and water once the glue is gone.

Don't thank me, thank the old lady on Youtube who was taking labels off of containers for her pantry.
I didn't believe it would work until I tried it. I've got a can of Goof Off (which just moves the glue around) that will probably sit on my shelf forever.
