Hello friends,

So this morning my buddy David and I took the Recons out into the woods at 5:00am to get in an early ride before work. I will avoid the details that led up to this "encounter" - in short, I accidentally hit a large tree stump while moving at a decent pace (I was in 3rd gear). No one was injured, stump was ripped out of the ground, and even the Recon looks as though nothing had ever happened! Ok, so the plastic shroud over the front bumper is permanently marred, but no bent metal. Yes, the Recon rode completely over the top of this big old stump, and it felt like a rodeo ride. It nearly bucked me over the handlebars when the stump rolled under the rear axle. Made the ride memorable.

I had a similar encounter with my 300...only it wasn't a stump, it was a 1968 Buick ....the Buick looked pretty much like your stump, the Honda of course is just fine (grin)
No kidding! Haha! I'd love to see a video of that "encounter." So damage to the Buick, but not the Recon. Excellent.

sorry...was just being sarcastic...and having fun...no...my 26yr old 300 has yet to get into an bad mashups...and as I get older I realize it takes me a LOT longer to heal so I've tended to ride all the more careful.....just bragging on how well built these old Hondas are...although, yeah, a 68 Buick woulda be a tank too..

i was clipping about 20mph, and hit a plow hidden in the grass. the plow didnt budge. i didnt come off this time, but that may be the cause of my bent bumper. :)

i crested the top of a hill, at 20 again, and forgot i had left logs in the field. the sun was in my eyes. i went over a 14-16" log. the atv went up in the air 3ft roundabout. i went further, over the handle bars, and landed on my back.
just like riding the ponies..
