Hello,

I just took apart my gear shift motor and noticed the brushes are wearing down. I can't find the replacement brushes online, as I don't know what to search for.

Can someone please direct me to the replacement brushes?

Thank you,

Stan

Honda doesn't offer any service parts for the shift motor. They sell replacements only. The aftermarkets may have those brushes somewhere...? Dunno.

On some of my really old power tools I have had to buy similar looking brushes made of the same materials and fashion my own replacements on a wide flat file. I have collected several boxes of different shapes and types of brushes over the years... if you are into keeping perfectly good things working like I am... scrounge around the fLeebay (a well stocked hardware store may have some too) for some brushes that you can attach to the brush plate and file them to fit. Else buy the new motor...

Only one of those options are fun. :)

I prefer to replace the brushes, the motor replacements are made in Taiwan.

I will search for the brushes online, thank you.
