Hey yall. I'm looking at getting a lift for the little recon. So i was just wondering if theres one brand better than the other? I've seen ABM, High Lifter, Gorilla, and Xtreme. they all range in prices by a good bit. i don't want to spend alot of money on one but i also don't want junk.
If anyone has input, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lift kits wont give you ground clearance, just room for bigger tires and a nice look. The only kits I know of for ground clearance are by gorilla. I think theyre only for independent suspension though. Sorry for not answering your question but thats all ive got. Ha Ha

ha well that sorta helps the reason im wanting a lift is because im getting new wheels and tires. there 25'' and a recon can only go 23'' without lift

Oh ha well ok then i have no experience with lifts as far as quality and price. What size recon is it?

It's a 250.

You might consider doing some mods with 25'' tires on a 250. Maybe bore it out a bit, otherwise youre going to lose a considerable amount of low end power.

If your just raising it 2" all the lifts are pretty much the same. It's just a bracket that raises the shock mount. If your going big then use the gorilla lift. They have been doing it longer and know the in and outs of what works best.
