Rear wheels hard to move

I have a 96 Fourtraxx 300, 4x2, I’ve recently noticed a squeaking noise from the rear axles and at the same time I noticed it not wanting to roll freely, I jacked the rear up and while it’s in neutral I’m having a problem getting them to move, any help?

might be as simple as the brakes dragging , the brake arm will get tight and stay engaged when applied and not spring back , or it could be the bearings in the diff going bad , I would drain the diff oil into a clean container as see whats going on in there , pull the drain plug off the bottom of the brake drum and see if there is water in there , then tear into it and see whats going on

I got one of them cable greasers , it works good to ectend the life of a cable
