You got me on that one , I have never read or heard anything about the 250SX rear end as a donor , I just looked at the parts list , first thing that could be rectified with some extra work is the swing arm on that one is welded to the right side axle tube like a 85 TRX250A and a 85 ATC250ES , both of those rear ends are doable , but you need to cut the swing arm off the tube -----but when you go to individual parts for the 250SX rear end , there are not many parts that show interchange with the other model andrear ends that will work , don't know why that is , the ring and pinion comes up for the one year and model 85 ATC250SX as does the axle and the housings also -----

Won't work in a 4wd. Gear ratio on the SX is a hair different than the 250ES and 250A rear ends.

I actually put a 250SX rear end in a guy's Fourtrax 250A a couple of weeks ago in exchange for his old 250A rear, which needed bearings. I'll rebuild it and keep it for a spare for a 300.

350 Fourtrax and 350D Foreman from 86-89 will work.
Fourtrax 250A will work (85-87 I think)
250ES big red from 85-87 will work

That's it for swapping diffs into a 300 that is 4wd.

Hi everybody,
Am new, and want to know what year TRX350 4x4 rear differential works on a 1997 TRX300 4x4? Have one that was swapped out, but didn't get all the details. Am thinking it is from a 2000+ model. Have been comparing photos with the one I have on the 300, which is blown BTW.
