So on the rear brake panel for the drum there is a bearing in it. The oem bearing has a regular black seal and a seal that has little indentation's all around the seal. If i remember right the indentation side of the seal points to the wheel while the black smooth seal points to the center. Is this correct?

Also where is the reference measurement for the depth of the bearing (how far down you drive it into the panel) taken from? The outside(wheel side) of the panel or the brake shoe side?

Bike is a 99 300fw....
Thanks

The rear brake panel has no snap ring or stopper for the bearing to bottom out on. There is a 9-10mm range honda wants you to go down inside the plate for the bearing. Also the oem bearing has 2 completely different seals on it. As I stated 1 is black and smooth like a typical seal and the other is green with indentations all the way around.
