Hey guys so I ordered a rear axel nut for the right side tire today, when I got home from work I took the left axel nut off to see if it would fit on the right, but it's a bigger nut? Is it suppose to be like that? The bike is a 89 fourtrax 350

the left and right axle nut should be the same

They are two complete different sizes the front axel nut actually fits on the rear right side

did you buy it new in 89 > maybe you don't have a 89 350 rear end in that bike , maybe the threads got pulled of the axle and someone re-threaded it

I can verify fishfiles advice, the two rear axle nuts are identical on my 87 350D. Something is amiss with yours...
