Hello, I have a 2005 Rancher AT that is stuck in 1st gear and flashing a code 5. I understand this means i need a angle sensor and it needs to be preloaded at installation. Is this correct? Also will i need to erase the code from the ECM after the install? If so, how is this done ? Thanks for any help !!

WElcome to the Forums. Some times you can unplug the battery and it will erase codes.

I have replaced my angle Sensor on my 2006 and you do not have to pre-load them I tried doing that upon installation myself and there’s no way to keep it pre-loaded I put it on the only way that I could without preloading and tried it and it works perfectly fine.
