I have searched the forums and found similar posts burt haven't found an answer. 2014 Honda Rancher, I turn the key and the display does not light up, but I do have headlights and winch power. No lights or winch with the key in off position. I press the start button and nothing happens. I can use a screwdriver to jump the start solenoid and it turns over strong but won't start. Also, as it is turning over the display does light up, so I know that is good. I have all the plastics off and the wiring harness all looks good. All fuses are good. It was sitting outside for about 6 months prior to this. Brand new battery and I also replaced the key ignition switch assuming that was the issue initially. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You probably already but check fuses. Otherwise get yourself some contact cleaner, permatex dielectric grease and plumbers flux brushes, remove, clean and lube all connections especially the starter and battery connectors

Yes I did check the fuses. Also, I disconnected every electrical connection and they all looked very clean. I didn't clean them but maybe that is worth a shot but the fact that I can jump the start solenoid and it turns the engine over tells me that it isn't a connections issue. I'm not an electrician so I could be wrong, I've just never been so lost on a troubleshooting problem before.

Does anybody know if the 3 fuses behind the gas tank could cause this? Or a failed rollover switch? all connections good. So far still no luck
