Proud new owner of a 2019 Rancher 4X4 foot shift model
Ive been in a side by side for 3 years now and bought this as a backup riding machine
I forgot how much fun these little things are to whip in the woods

Anyways Im on the hunt for a good looking tire/wheel combo and the little bit of research ive done is all over the place

I dont want to over gear the machine much with too big of tires and lose power
I also hate the speedo and odometer gonna be wrong

Would 12 inch rims or 14 inch rims look better on this machine?
WHat size tires do you guys like? 25? 26?
same all around or more narrow in the front?

I just traded my 17 Rancher 420 2wd FS for a 19 Rancher 420 4x4 FS.I stayed with stock tires and rims on the 17.I am in the same boat as you on the new 19 420 4x4.Not sure if I should stay with stock rims or jump to 12's.Thanks for starting this thread, may help me decide with the feedback we get.

There are more tire options for a 14" wheel than 12", so that is one reason why folks switch. However, there are many options out there for 12's and 14's, so I'm not sure the former statement really holds true today.... As for tire size, I personally wouldn't go above 25", the size on a Foreman and here are many options to look over https://www.google.com/search?q=aft...iY_gAhXwrIMKHVqCCrkQ_AUIDygC&biw=1280&bih=603

I have the same quad, green/black. Just curious, what’s wrong with the stock wheels and tires? They work great for me.

Nothing wrong with the stock rims and tires.I am wanting to stay stock, try and find some good condition stock rims, and put a set of CST Ancla tires on them.Want a winter and summer set of tires.

But then a step up to 12's with 25" tires gives you more tires to choose from. But some say you put unnecssary stress on the drivetrain and other parts, plus power loss.Thats why I'm not sure I want to step up to 25's

There is no stress or strain on the 420 going to 12”wheels and 25” tires. I changed my 2008 Rancher over from stock when I bought it new...

Two weeks ago I installed new wheels and tires from a Foreman on my Rancher. They are one inch taller on all four corners. They work very well. The final drive ratio was increase barely noticed. I did add 2 inch spacers on the rear and 1.5 on the front because it was already a little top heavy with the smaller wheels and tires.

Looking around found Mud Bug tires. If I decide to go with 25's see I could go 25/10/11 rear and 25/8/12 front.anybody ever try that setup?I like the Ancla,Zilla tires but they don't come that size on the rear"

25" is all you want to go up too..

I had 26" on my 2016 Rancher and it compromised the power and through off the gear ratios for shifting..

Thanks,All the reading I have done is leading me to stay with 24" tires. With the kind of riding I do see no need to go with bigger tires. All I see bigger tires will do for the rancher is make it look pretty, not improve performance and handling.

I would like to buy a set of oem stock rims to make a spare set of winter tires, and run the stock tires in the summer..Found a company online called Cheap Cycle Parts any others besides craigslist I can look.
